Corporate income tax

Companies pay 20%. SMEs with limited paid-up capital and revenue up to ฿30,000,000 pay 0% on the first ฿300,000 and 15% up to ฿3 million, then the standard rate. A half-year estimate (PND 51) and the annual return (PND 50) are filed. Board of Investment promotion can give tax holidays for qualifying projects.

VAT and specific business tax

VAT is charged at 7%; registration is required within 30 days once annual turnover exceeds ฿1,800,000, and returns are monthly. Banking and similar businesses, and some property sales, pay specific business tax instead of VAT. Services bought from abroad require self-assessed VAT.

Withholding tax

Companies withhold tax on many payments to Thai residents, such as services, rent and advertising, and file monthly. Payments to non-residents carry 10% on dividends and 15% on interest, royalties and service fees, unless a treaty lowers them.

Transfer pricing and the global minimum tax

Related-party transactions must be at arm's length; companies with revenue of ฿200,000,000 or more file a related-party disclosure form with the annual return. Large multinational groups pay Thailand's top-up tax at 15%.
